ADA Toolkit License + Updates
A plain-English guide to using the ADA + Medical Leave Toolkit for HR in your organization.
Your company license
Your purchase grants the organization that completed the purchase a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use and customize this toolkit for its own internal HR operations. Ownership and copyright remain with Brightspot People. Your order confirmation or receipt serves as proof of license.
You may
- Customize editable templates for your organization.
- Share materials internally with your employees, managers, and HR team.
- Print or save reasonable working copies for internal HR administration.
- Use employee-facing resources when communicating with your own workforce.
You may not
- Resell, sublicense, or give the toolkit to another organization.
- Post files to a public website, shared template repository, membership library, or file-sharing service.
- Use the toolkit as the basis of a competing template product or resource library.
- Remove Brightspot People copyright or licensing language from the original master resources.
- Share one purchased license across unrelated client organizations.
Employee-facing use
Forms, FAQs, letters, and other employee-facing materials may be provided to the purchasing organization’s own applicants, employees, managers, and service providers when needed to administer an internal HR matter.
Consultants and service providers
A consultant or HR service provider may not use one purchased copy as a reusable library across multiple client organizations unless Brightspot People grants a separate multi-client or consultant license.
No legal advice
These materials are educational and operational resources, not legal advice. The purchasing organization remains responsible for reviewing applicable federal, state, and local law and obtaining legal counsel when appropriate.
Copyright and reporting
© 2026 Brightspot People. Unauthorized distribution, resale, publication, or sharing outside the licensed organization is prohibited. Suspected unauthorized distribution may be reported to Brightspot People.
Updates included
If Brightspot People issues a material compliance update to this toolkit within 12 months of purchase, the purchasing organization is eligible to receive the revised version at no additional charge. Minor design changes or new optional products are not included unless Brightspot People states otherwise.

Federal law and agency guidance reviewed: September 2026. Next scheduled review: September 2027. State and local law may provide different or additional requirements.
Keep your receipt
Keep your order confirmation or receipt with your organization’s records. It identifies the licensed purchaser and may be requested if you contact Brightspot People for an included update or licensing question.
